We did it! The Portsmouth BBC set out to break the world’s record for the longest lobster roll. It took more than 200 pounds of freshly-shucked lobster meat, four gallons of mayo and a whole lot of bread, but we did it. The lobster roll came in at 159’ 6” long – as measured by one of Portsmouth’s finest – soundly beating the previous record of 120’.
Once its measurement was duly recorded to be sent to the World Record Academy, we cut that puppy up and sold it to some of the roughly 5,000 people who had gathered for the Father’s Day event. Proceeds from the sales are being donated to Hero Pups, a nonprofit organization which pairs puppies with veterans and first responders. We’ll be presenting Hero Pups with a check later this week.

The media coverage of our feel-good fundraiser has been epic which we hope brings more attention to Hero Pups and their good works.
