If you’re looking for a reason to kick off Memorial Day Weekend on Cape Cod a day early – silly question; who isn’t? – consider it found. The crew at our Sandwich pub has cooked up a spectacular dinner event on Thursday, May 25th making it perfectly timed to welcome the start of the Cape’s summer season in style.

The Coast-to-Coast Spirit & Beer Dinner will include five courses, with each course paired with a craft beer from Firestone Walker Brewing Company and artisanal spirits from Flag Hill Distillery. For each of the courses, the chef has created dishes that not only complement the accompanying beer and spirits, but also incorporate the selections we’ll be pouring.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a raw bar course of freshly-shucked native oysters and littlenecks paired with General Stark Vodka and Pivo: Hoppy Pilsner. The salad course includes pears poached with spiced rum. The seafood course features yellowfin tuna layered with fresh avocado and Cranberry Liqueur macerated melon, and the beef tenderloin being served for the meat course will be marinated with Luponic Distortion beer and finished with a whiskey mustard sauce.

We’ve even managed to artfully insert a taste of spirits into the dessert course with a bourbon sauce drizzled over Yorkshire pudding and vanilla ice cream which we know will prove a sweet ending to this splendid evening.
